Hayden Smith

Hayden is a fully qualified electrical contractor with a background in telecommunications and data cabling. Having spent twenty years in the industry in Australia, Hayden relocated to New Zealand in early 2022 and joined the team at A1 Electrical.

He enjoys working at A1, saying that the small crew makes for great, close working relationships. In a crew the size of A1 Electrical, everyone is heard and nobody is just a number, which makes for better teamwork.

Hayden brings a positive attitude and mindset to his work, and enjoys the creativity of working with customers and builders to get exactly the right solutions for their projects. His favourite projects are new residential builds, where he gets to see the whole project from the ground up, and a happy customer with their dream home.

Outside of work, Hayden is enjoying getting out into the wider Otago region with his young family, exploring the sites and getting to know the beautiful South Island.
